Jess is super positive and easy going which makes people feel comfortable right away. She was committed to providing informative, knowledgable and unique information. Everyone appreciated her teaching style, command of the subject, and gentle demeanour.

Jess has the unique ability to transform ‘practice’ into a playful experience of self discovery. Her lighthearted nature & unassuming wisdom gives your heart permission to relax & enjoy the ride. Jess is an expert at guiding you to those peaceful spaces within yourself, allowing for a deeper, more meaningful connection to your practice. You know when you’re in the presence of a free soul because you tend to feel good about who you are & are more inclined to accept every part of yourself. Thank you Jess for sharing your light with the world & showing others how to do the same.

What’s special about how I teach & present?

I teach & present with a holistic philosophy that merges my studies and experiences in yin, restorative & Nada (Sanskrit for “sound”) yogas, qigong, holistic nutrition, reiki, cakra meditation (pronounced “chukra”) and 3 years as a professional athlete adventure racing around the world that once retired, yoga was an integral tool in supporting my recovery.

My presenting style is fun, relatable & upbeat, yet highly informative offering different insight and perspectives that can be converted into very practical & realistic positive change in your life.

My yoga teaching style has a chill rejuvenating feel, designed to help you recover from your active and busy life with the purpose of enabling you to sustainably keep on doing what you love with better energy and higher levels of health. I particularly enjoy guiding students through an exploration of all the different nooks and crannies of their fascia, releasing old hidden tension as they go, so that students can live a life with less limitation. I consider your flexibility irrelevant to the depth and benefit in which you can experience as a result of your yoga practice. I believe the body, mind and spirit are so tightly interconnected that they are in fact one – subsequently to ‘treat’ all 3 of these areas, alongside a physical yoga practice I encourage students to experiment with different intentions, visualisations and breath. My yoga teaching mission is to help you develop the skill set you need to connect with your body so that you can receive the wisdom that it holds and honour all that is you exactly where you are at right now.

I think it’s important to keep yoga light and fun and not too serious. Jess certainly does that while still providing a fully beneficial class no matter what your practice level might be.
